Laura McDonough, PA-C, earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies graduate degree from DeSales University and completed her undergraduate degree at Rosemont College. With an extensive background in urgent care, occupational medicine, family practice and psychology, Laura brings a comprehensive skillset to BCOS as a surgical first assist in the operating room as well as the offices during individual exams. She possesses a variety of certifications including BLS, Department of Transportation Nationally Certified Medical Examiner, and the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
As a PA-C with an innate draw towards the OR, Laura gravitated towards orthopedic surgery and maintains memberships on the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA), Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants (PSPA) and Delta Epsilon Sigma.
Laura is passionate about helping people feel better through orthopedic care to ultimately help them live healthier, happier lives. She also tries to embody the motto of Mahatma Gandhi, "Live simply, so others can simply live," in her everyday life. Laura and her husband are active members of their community through helping rescue and care for animals, volunteering with environmental groups, and providing supplies and aid to homeless shelters as well as lower income families.
